BSC are delighted to have been involved in Swansea University’s spectacular new £450m science and innovation Bay Campus development, having been awarded contracts of over £1.3 Million to provide innovative Building Energy Management solutions for all 7 academic buildings:
Developed by St. Modwen, the UK’s leading regeneration specialist, this transformational major project for the University has been more than 10 years in the planning and has taken just over two years to build.
St. Modwen has developed the Bay Campus with building contractor, VINCI Construction UK and Swansea University’s framework contractor Leadbitter and in turn has seen the involvement of numerous private contractors, providing resource and specialist skills to assist with the delivery of this impressive project.
Vice-Chancellor of Swansea University, Professor Richard B. Davies, said:
“It has been very exciting to see work on the Bay Campus progressing so quickly. The development is a major factor in the regeneration of the south west Wales economy, creating thousands of jobs. The new campus will provide the best university facilities in the UK, in an outstanding location and will be an exemplar for academics and industry working effectively together on research and enhancing career opportunities for students.”
