Project Duration: 7 years
Our involvement:
This listed building originally constructed in the 1930’s on the site of the old Victoria Park, has been extensively modernised. Due to the nature of the building BSC, faced a number of challenges. Cable routes were sometimes difficult to create, as the ambition was to have as little visibility of the services as possible. BSC employed wireless technology to meet this criteria, to good effect.
Furthermore, because of the extensive use of wood panelling in the original construction, care needed to be taken to ensure that the new installation of the heating system did not expose the material to undue stress. Software was written to recreate the performance of the original heating system in terms of warm up and cool down rates.
BSC used a combination of Siemens PX and Desigo products during the phased installation of this project, which has taken over 6 years to complete.
